Summary
The Human Resources Generalist will serve as a dedicated resource for managing various HR functions including employee records onboarding wellness programs benefits administration and more. This position will be critical in maintaining organizational efficiency while also fostering a positive and engaging work environment for all staff members.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assists HR Manager in identifying staffing and recruiting needs; and in developing and executing best practices for hiring and talent management.
- Assist with revising job descriptions and will be responsible for updating position postings on Outreach career page and job boards.
- Prepares bi-weekly payroll which may include tracking bonuses and rate changes ensuring timely submission of documentation and updating information in the HR system as needed
- Assists HR Manager in monitoring the organizations compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations
- Maintains knowledge of trends best practices regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources talent management and employment law
- Facilitates and coordinates professional development training and certification activities for staff.
- Assists staff with general HR and Outreach policy related questions escalating appropriate issues to HR Manager when necessary
- Assists HR Manager in onboarding and offboarding of staff
- Updates employee manual Bamboo employee links and Bamboo files as needed
- Maintains personnel files including background checks ensuring updated and accurate information and forms at all times
- Manage annual certifications of Conflict of Interest forms and other forms requiring staff signatures
- Responds in a timely manner to employee HR inquiries.
- Update benefits spreadsheets and HRIS including Life insurance ID Theft and short term and long disability
- Maintains Employee Community in the HR system including Employee Spotlights meeting minutes for committees Employee Engagement posts and important announcements
- Attends Career Fairs as necessary
- Acknowledges employee birthdays work anniversaries and accomplishments.
- Performs other duties as required.

Education/Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field preferred.
- Minimum of two years of human resource experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Office attendance is required.
