We are a journey of continuous growth now looking for our next star a passionate Human Resources Business Partner. This position reports to Director of Human Resources and will work in Vancouver.

About the position

As Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) of the Vancouver team you will formulate partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the this hands on role the HRBP delivers the full suite of employee and organizational services in both Human Resources Management and Labour Relations disciplines. The ability to think strategically execute tactically and collaborate across many teams levels and situations is essential.

Your main responsibilities

  • Supporting the management by promoting communicating and implementing human resources programs and initiatives.
  • Deliver full-cycle recruitment across all disciplines related to product engineering and CNC manufacturing operations.
  • Manages the student Co-Op program including working with Universities and organizing Co-Op events that take place throughout the term.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g. coaching counseling career development disciplinary actions).
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships build morale and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Advise and coach management in areas of employee/labour relations.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective thorough and objective investigations.
  • Assists with the management of the administration of collective agreements within a unionized environment.
  • Assist with grievance procedures at all steps.
  • Assist with preparation for arbitrations and other legal activities.
  • Foster an open constructive relationship with Union and shop stewards.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions programs and policies.
  • Act as subject-matter expert in the areas of employment law Human Rights common law jurisprudence arbitral law labour relations etc.
