| Detailed Description: | This is a full-time temporary benefit-based position. The appointment is renewable at the discretion of the University and dependent upon performance and continued funding. Under the direction of the Benefit Manager reviews and approves benefit and insurance enrollments and changes for processing. Reconciles and pays benefit and insurance premiums to the appropriate vendors. Provides administrative support for leave of absence and Workers Compensation claims. Assists with annual open enrollment new employee benefit orientations and monitors enrollment results. Performs a broad spectrum of tasks in support of the Benefits department. Acts as the primary contact for first-level benefits inquiries for a variety of benefits programs including health and welfare retirement leave of absence time off PPACA and leave of absence. Works with highly confidential employee information and is responsible for compliance with privacy regulations under multiple state and federal regulations including but not limited to: ERISA COBRA GINA HIPPA FMLA CFRA PDL FEHA the ADA and ADAAA and FERPA and supports programs and processes under the purview of the IRS DOL the Civil Rights Department and other local state and federal jurisdictions. | Posting Salary: | $21.82-$28.90 per hour; Excellent Benefits The salary range provided in this posting reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered or earned is dependent on experience education and other factors including departmental budget. |
