This role supports the day-to-day work of the HR team while also contributing to key initiatives that support recruitment workforce development and employee engagement across the office. Work Schedule:This position works a 40-hour work week schedule normally Monday Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position is eligible for King Countys generous benefits package.
Employees assigned to this position enjoy a hybrid work schedule that allows telecommuting with a minimum of 2-days in office per week subject to business needs and a telecommuting agreement. If a successful candidate is new to the King County Prosecuting Attorneys Office they will be required to work in office four days a week for the first six months of employment. Mondays are a required in-office day.
Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a workspace with an internet connection where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours. Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.

Job Duties
Talent Acquisition
Develop manage and conduct recruitment and selection processes consulting with HR leadership and hiring managers as needed.
Complete pre-onboarding tasks: Write offer and promotion letters per standard templates coordinate new hire background checks bilingual proficiency testing compile new hire packets for personnel files etc.
Conduct new employee onboarding which includes fingerprinting as needed.
Maintain recruitment records and documentation within NEOGOV the HR position request and new hire dashboard etc.
Ensure compliance with labor contracts employment laws and best practices throughout.
Learning & Development
Provide administrative support for HR-led or HR-procured training and professional development opportunities for employees.
Build/develop training resources and/or registration using NEOGOV and other creative platforms like Canva and Articulate
Assist with coordinating officewide learning initiatives and programs for the HR team.
Project & Administrative Support
Research and respond to inquiries from PAO employees including managing the PAO Human Resources inbox and other modes of communication.
Compile and publish the PAO Employee News utilizing GovDelivery.
Create and update forms and standard operating procedures as needed.
Provide general office support as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
