We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR Assistant to join our team. The HR Assistant will play a critical role in supporting day-to-day human resources operations focusing on ensuring compliance with background checks I-9 documentation and other key administrative tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong commitment to accuracy and confidentiality in HR processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and manage pre-employment background checks ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Verify employment eligibility by accurately completing and maintaining I-9 documentation adhering to federal regulations.
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Assist with compliance audits related to employment records I-9 forms and background checks.
- Perform general administrative duties such as filing data entry and preparing reports.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelors degree in human resources or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in HR or a related field.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. Knowledge of federal and state employment regulations is a plus.
Work Environment:
- Primarily office-based with occasional remote work flexibility.
- Requires the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
