SUMMARY/SCOPE:SGA Members and other Student Leaders

The Student Life Workstudy position is open toall eligible Hardin-Simmons University students and is not limited to any groupof students. This role supports the Office of Student Life by providingclerical customer service and event support while assisting students withcommon campus-related questions and services. The position may also supportstudent leadership initiatives and special programs as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide front-desk and clerical support for the Office of Student Life

Assist students with general questions regarding meal plans parking passes student IDs campus events and Student Life services

Support the printing and distribution of student ID cards including assistance during high-volume periods and special events

Assist with special events that require on-site ID printing or student verification

Answer phones emails and in-person inquiries in a professional and welcoming manner

Perform basic office duties such as filing data entry copying and organizing materials

Assist with office upkeep and putting up/ taking down umbrellas

Support campus programs meetings and events hosted by Student Life

Provide general assistance to professional staff as assigned.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES(AS NEEDED):

Assist with communication and outreach related to Student Life initiatives

Provide limited support to student organizations or leadership programs

Help direct students to appropriate campus resources

Other duties as assigned to support the mission of Student Life

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Current HSU Student

Must be a current Hardin-Simmons University student

Must be eligible for work-study (if applicable)

Must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5

Must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours (excluding graduating seniors in their final semester)

Strong communication and customer service skills

Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

Basic computer and office skills preferred

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

This position is predominantly desk-based andincludes clerical work customer service and event support.
