HSE Manager Power Generation - Texas

Verto People is recruiting an HSE Manager to lead owner-side health safety and environmental oversight on a power generation project.

Youll lead the site HSE team hold contractors accountable for safe working practices and exercise stop-work authority when required.

Key responsibilities

• Set site HSE expectations and monitor contractor compliance.

• Review safety plans job hazard analyses and high-risk work activities.

• Lead owner participation in incident investigations and corrective actions.

• Monitor safety performance and report trends to project leadership.

• Oversee environmental compliance and adherence to permit conditions.

• Deliver OSHA 30 training to the owners site team.

Requirements

• At least 12 years of construction safety leadership on major industrial projects.

• At least five years representing an owner and overseeing EPC contractors under lump-sum contracts.

• OSHA 500 training and strong knowledge of OSHA 1926 requirements.

• Experience managing safety on sites with more than 1500 workers.

• A bachelors degree or equivalent field experience.

CSP or equivalent certification and environmental permitting experience on new-build power projects would be advantageous.
