The Opportunity

The HR Process Partner supports the design documentation governance and continuous improvement of HR processes across the employee lifecycle. This role works with HR functional teams HRIS Information Technology and other stakeholders to translate process decisions into clear documentation independently execute assigned process and project work and maintain disciplined project operating rhythms. The role contributes to major HR initiatives technology implementations and HR-wide transformation programs while helping embed consistent practices in process management continuous improvement and project execution.

What you will do

  • Create and maintain end-to-end HR process documentation including process maps standard operating procedures work instructions job aids templates controls and role and handoff definitions.

  • Maintain the HR process repository process taxonomy documentation standards version control ownership records review schedules and approval history.

  • Facilitate process discovery and documentation sessions with process owners subject matter experts HR Centers of Excellence HR Business Partners HR Operations HRIS and other stakeholders.

  • Document and analyze current-state processes identify pain points control gaps and improvement opportunities and develop practical future-state process recommendations in partnership with process owners and subject matter experts.

  • Lead defined continuous improvement efforts and support larger initiatives by gathering and analyzing data completing root cause analysis documenting opportunities developing recommendations and tracking approved improvements through implementation.

  • Manage assigned HR projects and workstreams including project plans milestones deliverables dependencies risks issues decisions actions stakeholder coordination and status reporting.

  • Support major HR initiatives technology implementations and transformation programs through requirements documentation process design testing coordination readiness activities communications training support go-live preparation and stabilization tracking.

  • Support administration of the HR project portfolio and backlog including intake records status prioritization inputs resource needs dependencies and next actions.

  • Prepare recurring project and portfolio reporting that provides visibility into progress upcoming milestones risks overdue actions dependencies and decisions required.

  • Coordinate operating rhythms for active initiatives including agendas materials meeting notes decision logs action follow-up and escalation of unresolved items.

  • Apply established project management process improvement and documentation methods consistently and recommend refinements to templates tools and standards.

  • Track process and project measures validate data quality and support reporting on cycle time service levels adoption quality efficiency and benefits realization.

  • Promote a practical continuous improvement mindset by helping HR teams use standard tools templates and process-thinking practices in day-to-day work.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration Operations Project Management or a related field or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Four or more years of experience in HR operations business process management process documentation project management or coordination continuous improvement transformation or a related discipline.

  • Demonstrated experience developing process maps standard operating procedures work instructions project plans and trackers status reports or similar operational documentation.

  • Working knowledge of process improvement and problem-solving practices such as Lean Six Sigma root cause analysis service design or comparable methodologies.

  • Experience supporting cross-functional projects process improvement initiatives or technology implementations including testing readiness deployment adoption or stabilization activities.

  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate discussions build effective stakeholder relationships and influence outcomes without direct authority.

  • Strong organization attention to detail follow-through and ability to independently manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex discussions and process information into clear practical and usable documentation.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and Teams as well as process mapping or project management tools such as Visio Blueworks Lucidchart Smartsheet or similar platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with HR systems such as Oracle HCM UKG Workday SuccessFactors ServiceNow or comparable platforms preferred

  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt CAPM or similar process or project credential preferred.
