As Flatbed Solutions continues to expand attracting and retaining the right talent will be critical to achieving its goals. The HR Manager serves as the primary recruiting and HR partner for the business helping connect talent strategy with operational growth.

The Opportunity
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys recruiting and wants to play a direct role in building a growing business. Flatbed Solutions has an aggressive growth strategy and talent will be a key driver of that success. Youll lead recruiting efforts across the operation partnering with leaders to identify workforce needs build candidate pipelines and hire the talent needed to support the business as it grows.
While most of your focus will be on recruiting youll also serve as the primary onsite HR resource for the Birmingham operation helping leaders and employees navigate day-to-day HR matters and ensuring a positive employee experience. This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to influence hiring decisions workforce planning and the future growth of Flatbed Solutions.

How Youll Work

  • Location: Onsite in Birmingham AL

What Youll Do

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts from intake through offer and onboarding support
  • Partner with leaders on sourcing strategies hiring plans candidate selection and workforce needs
  • Build talent pipelines to support current and future hiring needs
  • Create a positive candidate experience through clear communication and timely follow-up
  • Serve as the primary onsite HR point of contact for employee and leader questions concerns and day-to-day HR support
  • Address employee concerns support investigations and guide leaders through performance documentation corrective action and workplace issues
  • Interpret HR policies identify potential risk and escalate sensitive matters when appropriate
  • Partner with centralized HR teams on benefits compensation payroll leave administration accommodations HR systems and other specialized services
  • Review workforce trends and recommend practical actions to improve hiring retention and employee experience
  • Identify and implement improvements to recruiting onboarding communication and HR service delivery processes.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated success independently managing full-cycle recruiting across multiple job types or business areas
  • Experience addressing employee concerns supporting investigations advising leaders and applying HR policies
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters evaluate risk exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to build trust and communicate effectively with candidates employees leaders and HR partners.

Going the Extra Mile

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration Organizational Leadership or a related field
  • Experience supporting recruiting employee relations and general HR activities in a blended role
  • Experience serving as an onsite HR resource for a location operation or business group
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems HR information systems recruiting platforms and Microsoft Office tools
  • SHRM-CP PHR or another relevant HR certification.
