HR Generalist

Job Summary
We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support key HR functions across a multi-state workforce. This role offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact in talent acquisition employee onboarding and safety initiatives while offering broad exposure to all areas of HR. This is primarily an onsite role in St. Paul Minnesota.
The ideal candidate is organized collaborative technology-savvy and passionate about creating a positive employee experience.
- Lead college recruiting efforts and build relationships with colleges and universities throughout the Upper Midwest
- Manage and enhance the companys internship program including recruiting onboarding engagement and program evaluation
- Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation programs
- Lead the Safety Committee and partner with operational leaders to promote a culture of workplace safety
- Administer leave programs including FMLA disability and applicable state leave requirements
- Maintain employee records and ensure HRIS data accuracy within ADP Workforce Now
- Prepare HR metrics reports and workforce analytics to support business decisions
- Support compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations
- Assist with benefits administration open enrollment activities and benefit reconciliations
- Support employee engagement initiatives and continuous improvement of HR programs and policies
- Assist with employee relations matters while partnering with HR leadership as needed
- Provide backup support for payroll processing
- Travel seasonally for recruiting events and company-related activities
What Were Looking For
- Recent hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered
- 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience in a generalist role
- Strong working knowledge of employment laws HR best practices and HR compliance
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel Word Outlook and PowerPoint
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel as needed
- Payroll administration experience
- Experience managing internship programs and college recruiting initiatives
- Safety committee leadership or workplace safety program experience
- PHR SHRM-CP or other HR certification
