Job Summary
Job Description and Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist with a strong talent acquisition background to join our Portland OR this role youll support HR strategies with a people-centered approach partnering with managers and front-line leaders to support performance management employee relations compliance and engagement and retention addition youll serve as a trusted advisor to hiring teams executing recruitment strategies managing candidate pipelines.
- Consult with managers frontline leaders and employees providing HR guidance and ensuring compliance with all applicable employment laws regulations and internal policies
- Actively support and reinforce company culture grounded in our core values
- Guide managers in identifying documenting and addressing performance gaps while strengthening engagement productivity and retention
- Address employee relations concerns promptly conduct investigations and partner with leadership on resolutions
- Support HR programs (performance reviews engagement and retention initiatives personal development plans)
- Support the talent acquisition process including recruiting interviewing and hiring qualified job applicants
- Build sustainable talent pipelines through proactive external engagement aligned to business workforce needs
- Source candidates using job boards trade schools universities career fairs industry associations and social media
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in human resources or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered
- 5 years progressive HR experience with minimum 2 years as an HR Generalist
- 2 years full cycle recruiting experience including sourcing screening selection offer and negotiation and onboarding
- 1 year experience of resolving employee relations matters and leading investigations
- Professional in Human Resources (HRCI PHR) or Society of Human Resources Management Certified Professional (SHRM CP) certification preferred
- Previous manufacturing industry experience preferred
- Broad knowledge of human resources practices including compensation performance management leadership development employee relations change management and organizational development
