Position Overview
The HR Assistant will help keep HR operations running smoothly by supporting the full employee lifecycle from recruiting and onboarding through recordkeeping reporting benefits support and internal communication. This is a great opportunity for someone with HR administrative or people operations experience who wants broad exposure to multiple areas of human resources.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting & Onboarding
- Post job openings and assist with recruiting coordination
- Schedule interviews with candidates and hiring managers
- Communicate with applicants throughout the hiring process
- Launch and track onboarding tasks for new hires
- Ensure new-hire documents and employee files are complete accurate and compliant
- Assist with background checks credential tracking and onboarding follow-up as needed
HRIS/ATS Support
- Assist with HRIS and applicant tracking system administration
- Maintain accurate employee records and system updates
- Support employee self-service portals and respond to basic system questions
- Help process employee data changes status updates and payroll-related information
- Assist with payroll batches and HR reporting as needed
- Paylocity experience is preferred but not required
Benefits & Audits
- Assist with new-hire benefit enrollment and qualifying life event changes
- Help maintain benefit records and employee eligibility information
- Review and audit monthly insurance invoices for accuracy
- Work with vendors benefits administrators and internal teams to help resolve discrepancies
- Support annual enrollment and benefit communication as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- HIPAA certification required
- 2 years of experience in HR HRIS recruiting coordination benefits administration office administration or business administration preferred
- Strong Excel spreadsheet and reporting skills
- Comfortable learning and working within HRIS/ATS systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to write clear procedures updates and internal communications
