Objective of the Position:

The Housing Specialist Iisresponsible for conducting initial and continued eligibility as well as routine transaction processing for subsidized housing programs. This role requires a foundational understanding of subsidized housing programs and effective communication skills to ensureaccurateandtimelyassistance.

Summary of KeyResponsibilities:

• Assistclients with the application process for subsidized housing programs (HCV PH LIHTC etc.)

• Review and verify documentation todetermineeligibility.

• Maintainaccuraterecords of client interactions and case files.

• Provide information and support to clientsregardingprogram requirements and processes.

• Conduct client interviews to gather necessary information.

• Ensure compliance with federal state and local regulations.

• Participate in team meetings and training sessions.

Qualificationand Skills:

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Associate or bachelors degree preferred.

Experience

• Mustcomplete specialist certification course within60 daysof hire. (HCV Public Housing LIHTC etc.)

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in subsidized programs eligibilityrequired.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite.

Travel Requirement:

Travel required as projects entail.
