Housing Coordinator

ACCS Integrated Teams provide clinical interventions and peer and family support tofacilitateengagement support functioning and maximize symptom stabilization and self-management of individuals and toassistindividuals in developing skillsestablishingnatural supports and resources to live successfully in the community.

As a member of the ACCS team theHousingCoordinatorwill work as a member ofPersonsTeamhavingprimary responsibility forsupporting Persons inattainingand keepingstablesecure housing.

The Housing Coordinator will:

  • educate staff andPersonsusingACCS services about tenancy issues housing rights and resources
  • assistPersonswith applying for andattaining subsidies
  • work withPersonsto secure housing that meetstheir needsand will guide the Person in learning the skills necessary tomaintaincommunity housing
  • provide a single point of contact for developing relationships with landlords housing authorities and DMH Area housing staff to foster communication and provide advocacy

Schedule: 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday

Pay Rate: $23.60/hour

Required Skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively inteamenvironment
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills (in the English language) andpresent effectively to the public
  • Must have valid drivers license and available dependable transportation and be willing to provide transportation to persons served in personal vehicle as needed
Required Experience
  • High school diploma and minimum of 2 years related experience. Bachelors degree preferred
  • Housing advocacy experience preferred
