Job Summary
Primary Purpose Of Position
This Housekeeper Swing Shift position is one of 8 housekeeping positions in UREC . The position is primarily responsible for daily cleaning and sanitizing of UREC facilities to include the Student Recreation Center Quinn Center Mt. Mitchell Fitness Center State Farm Fields Restroom Facility Broadstone Park Facilities and the Bike App Trailer. Additionally this position will provide support to UREC programs and services through event setup and breakdown as well as supporting the maintenance staff both inside and outside the facilities. During winter weather snow/ice removal will need to be performed as needed to entrances and walkways of the facilities.
Minimum Qualifications
Some knowledge of cleaning procedures ability to follow instructions and to perform medium to heavy physical work; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Special certification may be required for some of these positions.-
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as a housekeeper/custodian in an educational or health care environment. Experience operating floor maintenance equipment. Ability to work within team and individual settings. Ability to obtain any certifications required.
