Job Summary

FUNCTION: Provides cleaning services to provide a safe sanitary comfortable environment for residents and the public. QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required. Minimum Qualifications: Prior housekeeping experience in office or hotel setting desired. Ability to work as a part of a team and work flexible shifts required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Maintains a stocked cleaning cart with needed items.
  2. Demonstrates knowledge of and respect for the rights dignity and individuality of each resident in all interactions.
  3. Cleans (dust dry mop wet mop sanitize scrub) assigned resident apartments and common areas daily according to facility procedures.
  4. Respects residents privacy and preferences about room arrangement personal items. input on preferred Knocks before entering resident areas. Seeks resident cleaning methods within reason.
  5. Leaves personalized card in each department to identify the housekeeper who cleaned the apartment.
  6. Disposes of trash and waste other materials in a safe manner using identified precautions for any contaminated materials.
  7. Post signs indicating a safety hazard any time housekeeping activities pose environmental hazards to staff residents visitors or others in the building.
  8. Monitors and reports all evidence of rodents and pests to supervisor.
  9. Complies with infection prevention and safety standards of practice.
  10. Practices safe use of cleaning chemicals.
  11. Practices required precautions for handling and disposing of contaminated materials. Maintains separate bags for each residents soiled clothing and bedding.

  13. Demonstrates the ability to make independent decisions solve practical problems that may or may not include a variety of concrete variables. This may require the ability to interpret instructions given in written oral diagram or scheduled form.
  14. Demonstrates the ability to listen actively and evaluate social situations in an objective consistent and fair manner. Functions independently with integrity flexibility and works well with residents personnel and support agencies.
  15. Complies with community policies and procedures for workplace safety including infection control procedures emergency response and safety protocol.
  16. Complies with all company policies and procedures related to resident rights; abuse prevention and reporting; and resident confidentiality (HIPPA).
  17. Demonstrates knowledge of Employee Handbook and complies with the policies in the Handbook.
  18. Performs other related duties as may be assigned.
