Job Summary
Primary Purpose Of Position
The primary purpose of this position is to maintain all residence halls at a high level of cleanliness and sanitation. Housekeeping staff are responsible for the proper maintenance and appearance of residence hall public areas such as lobbies lounges hallways stairwells and elevators. Housekeepers also clean and sanitize bathrooms distribute supplies sweep mop and wax floors.
Minimum Qualifications
Some knowledge of cleaning procedures ability to follow instructions and to perform medium to heavy physical work; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge skills and abilities to perform a variety of duties including all aspects of cleaning sweeping mopping trash removal restroom sanitation etc. Basic computer skills to perform tasks such as email and supply ordering. Experience in operating floor maintenance equipment such as auto scrubber high speed buffer carpet extractor. Knowledge and experience in using a variety of cleaning products including Green Cleaning products. Maintain a valid drivers license.
