Americare Senior Living is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to help maintain a clean comfortable and welcoming environment for our residents team members and visitors. This role plays a vital part in resident satisfaction safety and quality of life.
- Plan organize and follow assigned cleaning schedules
- Perform cleaning assignments in resident rooms and common areas
- Ensure compliance with cleanliness sanitation and infection control standards
- Prepare resident rooms for new move-ins following discharge
- Report maintenance and repair needs to the supervisor
- Monitor housekeeping inventory and communicate supply needs
- Assist with plant and flower care as assigned
- Safely handle cleaning chemicals and ensure proper labeling per OSHA standards
- Maintain work carts and equipment in a clean and safe condition
- Attend required in-service training and staff meetings
- Collaborate with other departments to support smooth daily operations
- Stand sit walk and change positions frequently
- Lift up to 25 lbs. and assist with tasks requiring pushing or pulling up to 100 lbs.
- Crouch kneel balance stoop and bend as needed
- Utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves and face protection
- Use proper lifting techniques and lumbar support when needed
- Wear non-slip supportive footwear
- Follow OSHA standards for hazardous chemicals and SDS guidelines
- Report work-related injuries within 12 hours and complete required documentation
- Participate in company drug testing procedures
This position operates primarily indoors in an Assisted Living community with adequate lighting and ventilation. Occasional interaction with residents during activities or events may occur.
- Grade school education required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- Commitment to maintaining a clean resident-centered environment
