Purpose of the Position Under direct supervision works and communicates with the general public internal customers and/or external customers to provide information and services targeted to meet customer expectations. This position works to promote and protect the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas Counties.

Essential Functions (include but are not limited to):

  • Assures applicant understanding of the WIC program to include but not be limited to: Dual Participation use of the eWIC Card How to File a Complaint and the Rights and Responsibilities.
  • Greet and assist WIC participants by scheduling appointments checking clients in and out answering phones and providing excellent customer service.
  • Maintain accurate client records by entering data into the WIC management system verifying eligibility documentation and filing confidential information in accordance with program policies.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma/GED and one (1) year of experience communicating information in a customer service setting are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous WIC Experience
  • Spanish/English Bilingual

Work Conditions & Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; able to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.

Salary Information: $20.60 per hour / up to 29 hrs/wk In- Person Position Part-time (No Benefits)

Remote Work: Employees authorized for remote/hybrid work must reside and perform their job duties exclusively within the state of Georgia. Remote/hybrid work arrangements outside the state are not permitted under current policy.
