HostHostess Third Measure

The Third Measure Host / Hostess serves as one of the first points of contact for guests and plays a critical role in establishing the intimate sophisticated and welcoming atmosphere of Third Measure. This position manages reservations seating guest flow and special requests while ensuring each guest receives personalized and attentive service from arrival. 

Responsibilities:

• Warmly greet and acknowledge guests upon arrival while creating a polished and memorable first impression  
• Serve as an ambassador of Third Measure and Fairmont New Orleans  
• Manage reservations waitlists seating assignments and guest preferences  
• Escort guests to tables or designated seating areas  
• Maintain knowledge of Third Measures cocktail food and beverage offerings  
• Maintain knowledge of operating hours dress code reservation policies special events and hotel amenities  
• Provide guests with accurate and engaging information regarding the Third Measure experience  
• Monitor dining and lounge activity and coordinate seating flow with Servers Bartenders Runners and Management  
• Manage guest expectations regarding wait times and seating availability  
• Maintain awareness of VIPs repeat guests celebrations special occasions and guest preferences  
• Coordinate VIP and high-profile guest arrivals with discretion and professionalism  
• Answer telephone calls and assist with reservations and guest inquiries  
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest questions concerns and special requests
• Assist with guest recovery efforts and involve leadership when appropriate
• Maintain cleanliness organization and presentation standards at the host stand entrance waiting areas and guest spaces 
• Maintain awareness of the atmosphere and guest experience throughout the Lounge  
• Monitor guest flow and communicate operational concerns to leadership  
• Maintain familiarity with Fairmont New Orleans amenities dining outlets events and local attractions  
• Assist with opening closing stocking cleaning and other operational duties  
• Maintain a polished and professional appearance consistent with Third Measure and Fairmont standards  
• Follow all hotel policies service standards safety procedures and operational requirements  
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications :

• Previous Host / Hostess restaurant hotel lounge or guest service experience preferred
• Luxury hotel fine dining upscale restaurant or cocktail lounge experience preferred 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills  
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities 
• Ability to remain composed and professional in a high-volume environment  
• Professional appearance and polished demeanor required 
• Strong guest service mindset  
• Ability to interact confidently with discerning guests and VIP clientele 
• Basic computer and reservation system experience preferred  
• Ability to work late-night schedules evenings weekends holidays and extended shifts  
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
