Host

JOB PURPOSE: The Host is responsible for creating a warm welcoming and professional first and last impression for guests at Ibis Sky Lounge an indoor-outdoor rooftop retreat offering sweeping views of the Intracoastal Waterway and coastline. This role ensures guests are greeted seated and assisted in a timely and courteous manner while supporting the overall flow of Food & Beverage operations. The Host may also provide guest service support across multiple outlets and locations as assigned based on business duties include but are not limited to:Provides guest service support across food and beverage outlets as assigned based on business needsGreets guests promptly and courteously upon arrival maintaining a polished and professional demeanorManages reservations and guest inquiries via phone and reservation systems using sound judgment and accurate timingMonitors dining room activity to ensure appropriate seating flow guest comfort and service coordinationSeats guests by identifying clean available tables and providing menus in accordance with service standardsAssists managers with opening closing and operational readiness of dining areasAnticipates guest needs and responds appropriately to enhance the guest experienceManages guest flow during peak periods and maintains order at the restaurant entranceAssists service staff as needed to support efficient operationsMaintains familiarity with menus daily specials VIP guests function sheets and hotel activitiesThanks guests upon departure and invites them to return ensuring a positive closing interactionDuties responsibilities and work locations may change or be assigned at any time based on business be available to work varied schedules shifts and locations including weekends holidays overtime and different outlets as assignedQualificationsMinimum one (1) year experience in a host or guest-facing hospitality role preferredFine dining or steakhouse experience preferredStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to multitask and remain organized in a high-volume environmentProfessional appearance demeanor and performance standards requiredAbility to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays and overtime Work Environment & Physical RequirementsAbility to move bend lift carry push pull and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistanceAbility to stand and walk for extended periods including entire shiftsRequires repetitive motionWork may be performed in indoor and outdoor environmentsTools & EquipmentPOS and reservation systems/open table Computer phone printerAdditional ResponsibilitiesPerforms other duties as assigned
