Compensation: $17.29-$18.08. This position includes weekend premium pay (additional 8%) for weekend hours.
Vitalant is seeking a Hospital Distribution Technician dedicated to making a positive difference. Your impact as a Hospital Distribution Technician is vital. You will support Vitalants life-saving mission by managing the inventory of blood and blood products and facilitate the packaging and shipment to local hospitals and patients. Whether you are just starting your career or new to the blood banking industry were here to train mentor and help you grow.
What to Expect
Schedule: Monday-Friday Days 6am-2:30pm with weekends on rotation: 5am-5:30pm. When working the weekend an example schedule would be: Mon Tues Wed (OFF Thur Fri) Sat Sun ( OFF Mon Tues)Wed Thur Friday. Variable Full-time 35-40 hours weekly. Required holiday rotation.

As a Hospital Distribution Technician youll get to
Receive prepare and ship routing ASAP and STAT orders of blood and blood products conducting a visual inspection of each product prior to shipment to ensure order accuracy.
Professionally and safely deliver products to Vitalant customers in company vehicle.
Communicate with customers regarding order fulfilment turnaround times and product availability.
Maintain accurate hospital service records for transactions and process fees.
Monitor all storage requirements service equipment and vehicle work areas.
High School diploma or GED required
Valid in-state drivers license
Six months of customer service experience required
Prior healthcare industry experience preferred
Able to lift 40lbs
