RCF Home Visitor for the Hornell area. The Home Visitor partners with families to provide high-quality in-home education child development support and family services that promote healthy growth and school readiness. Through regular home visits this position coaches parents as their childs first teacher supports developmental learning activities conducts screenings and assessments and connects families with community resources. The Home Visitor builds trusting relationships with families advocates for their strengths and goals and collaborates with program staff to ensure comprehensive services that support both child and family success.
- The ideal candidate will have strong relationship building active listening and observational skills to foster family strengths empower parents and promote child focused interactions.
- Knowledge of child development time management and effective communication both verbally and in writing when documenting information.
An associates degree in human services or related field or a combination of education and experience may be considered.
