These collaborations speed the execution of demonstration projects effect expansion of successful pilot programs and support rapid implementation to meet the public health needs of individuals families and communities across New York Culture We embrace a culture of learning collaboration innovation and well-being where open communication drives our The RoleThe Bureau of School Health is seeking a full stack developer to develop and support data exchange initiatives with external clinical partners. The development will be from the ground up and the developer will be a member of the MIS team. This role involves collaborating with the project manager peer developers database administrator and data analyst to develop data exchange solutions and will entail monitoring data collection support program evaluation and assisting with the Program The Office of School Health MIS unit maintains student clinical records in an electronic health record system to support the work of 1200 school nurses and Asthma case managers in caring for 1M New York Public School Students. As part of the support initiatives DOHMH is partnering with the Department of Transportation as part of congestion planning to improve outcomes of students having Asthma. A data exchange system with external clinical systems such as Health and Hospitals and Private NYC hospitals on student Asthma clinical data will improve student data processes to map external received data to internal job schedules on bi-directional data with multiple external data partners to implement shared or custom data exchange application view for nurse users to view received dataImplement a variety of data exchange solutions such as restful API or sFTP data quality and work closely with program staff to refine data to the planning development and implementation of program evaluation and research in documenting the system specifications and topology with the project with project manager and Database administrator to Data architect with external technical units and troubleshoot technical duties as assigned to support the overall goals and mission of the department/ organization.
