Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee daily HIM operations
• Manage medical records coding and documentation processes
• Ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met
• Maintain accuracy confidentiality and integrity of patient information
• Lead train and support HIM staff
• Oversee audits record completion and release of information
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams
• Improve HIM workflows and departmental processes

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• 5 years of HIM experience
• Previous HIM leadership/management experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of medical records coding compliance and HIM operations
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a rural hospital environment
• State license not required
• Facility Details:
• 25-bed Critical Access Hospital
• Average Acute Daily Census: 20
• Observation ADC: 8
• Total ADC: 28
• No holiday coverage required
• Flu vaccine required no exceptions
