For over 20 years we have been dedicated to serving the unique needs of students with Autism and other unique abilities. As our school continues to expand we are seeking passionate and innovative High School Lead Teachers for our students.
Position Overview: The High School Lead Teacher will play a crucial role in providing a supportive and enriching educational experience for our students. This position involves leading classroom instruction developing individualized lesson plans and managing a classroom environment that fosters learning and personal growth. The Lead Teacher will collaborate closely with the school administration and a dedicated Teacher Aide(s) to ensure each students academic and personal success.

Key Responsibilities:
- Instruction and Curriculum Development: Create and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the diverse learning needs of students utilizing a variety of teaching methods and technologies.
- Individualized Instruction: Provide targeted support to students with varying abilities ensuring each student can achieve their full potential.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a safe respectful and positive classroom environment using effective behavior management strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with school administration special education staff and Teacher Aides to develop and execute comprehensive academic support plans.
- Student Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and adjust instruction based on student progress maintaining accurate records of attendance grades and reports.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay updated with the latest educational strategies.

Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Education or a related field (REQUIRED).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience (REQUIRED).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in special education (Preferred).
- Certification: Valid Florida Teaching License and Certification (REQUIRED).
- Skills: Strong classroom management and communication skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Personal Attributes: Compassionate patient and committed to helping students achieve independence.
- Additional Requirements: Must have a current and valid drivers license be able to pass a Level 2 Background Clearance and provide proof of degrees and/or certifications.
