Welcome to the Banta Unified School District where we are proud of our long history in education. The district is one of the oldest districts in the county having been founded to serve area students in the late 1800s. Through the years Banta has remained a small K-8 school district focused on meeting the needs of its diverse student population. As our district evolves we continue to adapt in order to best prepare our students for the future. We are a growing district with the recent opening of a large housing development within our attendance area and the continued interest in Banta Elementary as a school of choice for families. We are proud of our history and what we have accomplished as a district. Banta Unified School District is seeking a committed and student-centered High School SDC Teacher (Mild/Moderate) to support our inclusion-based special education program. This position provides specialized academic instruction case management and collaborative support to ensure students with disabilities have full access to rigorous standards-aligned curriculum in the least restrictive ideal candidate demonstrates strong knowledge of IEP development differentiated instruction and inclusive practices. Responsibilities include implementing IEP goals partnering with general education teachers monitoring student progress supporting transition planning and maintaining compliance with SELPA state and federal guidelines. A valid California Education Specialist Credential (Mild/Moderate Support Needs) is a dedicated team committed to ensuring every student is supported included and empowered to succeed in high school and beyond.
