POSITION: High School English Teacher

REQUIREMENTS:

• Michigan teaching certificate English (BA or BX) or ability to obtain
• Must be Highly Qualified status
• Willing to work with out-of-state or alternative pathway candidates

PREFERENCES:

• Knowledge or the ability to apply technology to enhance instruction
• Experience working with a diverse cultural racial and socio-economic student population
• Strong classroom management skills
• Knowledge of Common Core Curriculum
• Knowledge of SAT assessment and preparation
• Understanding of current instructional strategies including Differentiated Instruction and general education accommodations and modifications
• Knowledge of data disaggregation and its application to assist the academic progress of general education students
• Ability to effectively work and collaborate with others as a member of a team
• Willingness to support district and building initiatives
• Knowledge of blended and distance learning instructional practices
• Understanding of PBIS and tiered instructional supports and their implementation in the classroom

SALARY: Per the Master Agreement
