Job Summary
The Administrative Assistant will be a detailed-oriented person with a heart to serve at Cornerstone Chapel specifically in the Youth Ministry. They will be able to work efficiently in a changing environment. This individual will demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit in all interactions with congregants volunteers and staff. He or she will seek to perform all duties as unto the Lord relying on the Holy Spirit for guidance and completing all tasks with excellence.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelors degree preferred
Experience
- 35 years of experience in an administrative support role preferred
Certifications/Licenses
- Successful completion of a background check
Knowledge Skills Abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite
- Quick learner public relations interpersonal communication problem-solving
Technologies
- Basic computer literacy
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 suite
- Able to learn and adapt to new systems (e.g. Planning Center Rock )
Physical Capabilities
- Able to perform seated desk work at a computer
- Able to stand for extended periods of time
- Able to participate in occasional physical activities
Work Hours/Travel
- Most hours fall within a standard work week with flexibility for events required

Job Functions and Tasks
Essential Functions
- Effectively communicates with manager concerning any needs issues or concerns
- Opens reads and prepares responses to incoming emails on behalf of manager
- Makes copies of correspondence or other printed material necessary for the ministry
- Operates office equipment such as computers printers/copiers or phone systems
- Assists in scheduling confirming and maintaining ministry calendar
- Collects credit card receipts and expense information from manager and submits documentation for approval
- Prepares documents reports letters expense statements and other documents using Office 365
- Records information updates necessary forms and paperwork and maintains documents such as attendance records correspondence or other materials
- Creates maintains and enters information into Rock database
- Orders and maintains inventory of supplies for ministry camps retreats and activities
- Assists in planning and implementing programs retreats and activities
- Engages in discipleship opportunities with students
- Connects individuals to appropriate resources within the church
- Fosters a supportive environment for all youth
- Maintains accurate records of participants and volunteers in events
Job Context: Seated desk work; regular standing walking and movement during ministry events and activities
Job Status: Full-time non-exempt
