Key Responsibilities

• Keep Communities Clean: Safely collect solid waste and recyclables from customer premises and curbside locations.
• Team Up with Drivers: Assist drivers with safe vehicle operations including navigating tight spots and backing up.
• Equipment Operation: Load waste into collection vehicles and operate compaction equipment safely.
• Pre-Trip Prep: Audit trucks before heading out to ensure all required equipment (brooms shovels safety gear) is on board.
• Safety First: Perform equipment checks follow company and federal/state safety guidelines and wear proper PPE at all times.
• Customer Interaction: Tag prohibited waste items report route issues promptly and represent GFL with a friendly professional demeanor.

• High energy & physical endurance: Ability to stand walk bend lift up to 65 lbs regularly and move up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Outdoor Enthusiast: Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Team Player: Strong communication skills and a positive team-first attitude.
• Reliable: Dependable punctual and safety-conscious.
• High school diploma/GED or valid drivers license is a plus but not required!
