Heavy Truck Driver (Environmental Services Division CollectionRecycling)

Under general supervision operates a roll off truck boom truck and/or dump truck for the purpose of collection of solid waste recyclables yard waste and tires from the County recycling centers and transport to the landfill complex.

Responsible for operating and maintaining equipment as necessary for the proper transportation of solid waste and recyclables form the County Recycling Centers to the county landfill complex. Duties include: engaging and disengaging roll off containers with hydraulic hoist maneuvering safely in tight quarters at recycling centers and the landfill working face providing safe highway driving procedures maintaining records of operations where necessary inspecting maintaining equipment and reporting necessary repairs. Communicating with Crew chief supervisors and other staff when necessary. May include weekend shifts from time to time.

Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 25 pounds constantly to move objects able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
