Sisson Contracting Inc. is looking to hire a Shop Mechanic.

Shop Mechanic - Full Time
Monday - Friday

Must have knowledge and experience with diesel engines hydraulics heavy equipment welding & fabrication
CDL preferred but not required
Must be a self-starter
Must be able to multitask
Ability to work under limited supervision
Ability to prioritize tasks and complete them in a timely manner
The desired employee will take pride and ownership of what needs to be done their work and keeping the shop clean and organized as if it were their own

Duties:

Perform repairs and assign preventative maintenance services. Perform inspections diagnosis and repair of electrical hydraulic suspension brake and air systems on fleet trucks company trucks and all equipment.
Ability to keep an up-to-date log book and track all maintenance dates due dates and services.
Inspect repair and maintain mechanical equipment.
Raise trucks and heavy parts or equipment using hydraulic jacks or hoists.
Recondition and replace parts pistons bearings gears and valves.
Troubleshoot operational issues and determine a plan of action to remedy them.
Install equipment and related components to meet specifications.
Knowledge of machines and tools including their designs uses repair and maintenance.
Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.
