Join us as aHealth Safety and Environment Student Intern for our Hawaiidistrict within our US Buildings sector for three to fourmonths starting May 2027. Depending on your assigned project as a Health Safety and Environment Student Intern you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:
- Gathers/reviews/distributes safety-related statistical information.
- Monitors site-specific programs/requirements/compliance.
- Recognizes and follows PCL and local legislative requirements.
- Anticipates questions based on experience knowledge and understanding of client needs.
- Conceptually visualizes a completed project or project component (e.g. generator installation process).
- Recognizes behaviors conditions and activities that can adversely affect health.
- Interprets simple work sequences.
- Liaises effectively with project and field management.
- Applies basic knowledge of behavioral concepts.
- Interprets communicates and reinforces project safety standards to workforce.
- Other duties as required.
- Working toward Bachelors degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related area of study.
- A desire to pursue a career as a HSE professional.
- 18 years of age or older and possesses a valid Drivers License.
- Knowledge of applicable OH&S environmental legislation and HSE processes.
- Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to learn construction processes and terminology.
- A strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
- Must be able to navigate through a construction site on a daily basis and climb ladders and stairs.
- Must be able to work around and near heavy equipment cranes and other construction equipment.
- Employment with PCL is contingent upon passing a substance abuse test conducted by a third party.

The estimated hourly pay range for this role is between $28 and $33based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
