The Health Educator collaborates with community leaders stakeholders and clients to promote health awareness and connect individuals to appropriate community resources and services.The position requires strong communication facilitation organizational and technology skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office as well as the ability to travel between multiple program locations in a single day with occasional evening and weekend hours required.

Summary

Job Duties
- Develop update and maintain culturally appropriate health education materials and program content
- Facilitate interactive and engaging health education programming to patients and community members
- Conduct blood pressure screenings and provide basic health education to community members during outreach activities and events
- Engage community members at outreach events and assist with enrollment into health education series workshops and wellness programs.
- Ensure completion of health education pre- and post-surveys to evaluate the effectiveness of programs and materials and accurately upload survey data into REDCap.
- Manage upload retrieve and maintain data using REDCap and various Microsoft applications to support program operations reporting and outreach activities
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Public Health Health Education or related field
- 3 years of relevant experience in health education or training facilitation to adults
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Public Health Health Education or related field
- Bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates strongly encouraged to apply
Additional Qualifications
- Opportunity to obtain certification as a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES)
Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing frequent keyboard use *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling bending squatting and performing CPR.
