Job Summary
Project Manager Healthcare Operations & Modernization
Richmond VA Hybrid Contract
About the Role
This role is ideal for a project management professional with experience leading process improvement organizational transformation technology implementation and cross-functional initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate a complex healthcare modernization project from planning through implementation.
- Develop and maintain project plans timelines milestones deliverables and action items.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams stakeholders leadership IT Human Resources and operational staff.
- Evaluate current processes and develop improved workflows and procedures.
- Identify bottlenecks inefficiencies risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate Salesforce enhancements requirements testing implementation and training.
- Support organizational change management stakeholder engagement and staff adoption.
- Develop performance metrics dashboards and management reports.
- Track project risks issues dependencies and deadlines.
- Prepare weekly project status reports and executive-level updates.
- Support staffing recruitment onboarding and training activities.
- Develop and maintain project documentation including action risk issue and decision logs.
- Help establish sustainable processes that can continue after project completion.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
- Experience managing complex operational improvement or organizational transformation projects.
- Experience coordinating multiple departments teams or stakeholder groups.
- Experience with process improvement and workflow redesign.
- Strong project planning organizational communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing competing priorities deadlines and project deliverables.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data and develop meaningful performance measures.
- Proficiency with standard project management and Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
Preferred:
- PMP certification or comparable project management credential.
- Experience in healthcare state government regulatory licensing or public-sector environments.
- Experience with Salesforce implementation or enhancement projects.
- Experience with application permitting credentialing or licensing modernization.
- Experience with dashboards and performance reporting.
- Lean Six Sigma or other process-improvement experience.
- Experience with organizational restructuring recruitment or workforce implementation.
