As theHealth and Wellness Director youll lead the clinical team to ensure exceptional care for our residents. Youll oversee all nursing services providing supervision and guidance while maintaining compliance with policies regulations and Americares high standards. Collaborating with other departments youll manage assessments care plans and staff development ensuring smooth operations. Your leadership will play a key role in fostering a safe home-like environment while supporting the well-being of both residents and team members.
This role may also be known as:
- Oversee the clinical supervision and administration of all nursing services.
- Implement and maintain nursing objectives standards policies and procedures revising them as necessary.
- Provide clinical guidance to nursing staff including RNs LPNs CNAs and other care team members.
- Collaborate with community administrators to ensure all staff receive necessary orientation and training.
- Conduct regular assessments of residents and ensure all required documentation is up-to-date.
- Ensure compliance with state federal and Americare regulations.
- Manage medication systems and ensure they meet regulatory guidelines and resident needs.
- Play a key role in quality assurance by maintaining community standards assisting with inspections and upholding a safe home-like environment for residents.
- Licensure: A current state nursing license (LPN).
- Experience: A proven track record in nursing leadership preferably in senior living or long-term care environments.
- Skills: Strong clinical knowledge leadership skills and the ability to manage both the administrative and hands-on aspects of nursing care.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work closely with staff administrators and families.
- Commitment: A passion for senior care adherence to Americares mission and dedication to providing a high quality of life for residents.
- Stand sit walk bend and change positions frequently.
- Lift up to 25 lbs. and assist in transferring residents as needed.
- Push/pull up to 100 lbs. and maneuver wheelchairs (up to 350 lbs.).
- Assist in lowering residents to the floor during falls.
- Use safety equipment including gait belts and mechanical lifts.
- Perform tasks requiring good vision hearing and verbal communication.
