Transamerica Asset Management (TAM) is a division within Aegon Asset Management an active global asset management firm with investment capabilities that span public and private markets across asset classes sharing a common belief in fundamental research-driven active management.

TAMs vision is to be a valued asset manager by growing a profitable scalable investment platform that connects the right solutions to our clients needs. We provide active fixed income and differentiated equity strategies by following our Investor First process and leveraging the capabilities of our suite of sub-advisers. Our business encompasses approximately $65 billion of net assets under management; consisting of variable insurance funds retail mutual funds ETFs collective investments trusts and other assets.

The Role:

We are seeking a Head of Marketing to join our senior leadership team in Denver CO reporting directly to the Head of TAM. This hybrid role requires three days per week in the office and two days remote.

The Head of Marketing will lead the development and execution of marketing strategies and campaigns designed to drive awareness and sales of the companys products and services. The role is also responsible for increasing engagement with financial professionals through product marketing initiatives strengthening brand affinity and supporting the successful launch of new products and solutions.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead channel marketing teams who support the business and have a key role influencing and shaping the future of the channel.
  • Represent the audiences needs align plans to the brand direction and understand competitive dynamics to work collaboratively across organizational boundaries to achieve objectives.
  • Collaborate with sales channel partners to develop strategic short and long term marketing strategies and plans that address current and future revenue objectives.
  • Manage program budgets.
  • Evaluate and adjust marketing strategy and plans to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
  • Set priorities and manage through people and processes; leverage resources throughout the organization.
  • Execute multiple high impact initiatives to achieve sales channel goals.
  • Partner with teams in Product Development Sales Operations and other stakeholders to drive and build the company brand sales profitability and customer excellence.
  • Work with Sales leadership to ensure internal sales team has the tools training and incentives needed to effectively sell products and services.
  • Own the product launch/release plan and implementation management for new product introductions.
  • Develop strong customer relationships to become the organizations expert in customer needs and opportunities.
  • Create a positive and performance-driven culture building repeatable processes to deliver results and coach sales and marketing professionals.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in marketing business communications or equivalent experience.
  • Ten years of marketing communications digital marketing or project management experience in financial services or a related industry.
  • Eight years of management experience.
  • Broad experience developing and executing marketing strategies for complex projects.
  • Thorough understanding of the investment products marketplace and distribution process including how products are priced packaged and positioned across various channels.
  • Technical acumen to design campaigns that optimize the use of traditional and digital marketing platforms.
  • Ability to interpret data and articulate results to diverse audiences.
  • Analytical and decision-making skills to identify/prioritize critical issues and interpret data.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Intermediary or institutional experience.
  • Familiarity with content management workflow and other marketing tools such as CMD CRM DAM Workflow Salesforce Marketing Cloud Workfront.
  • Experience in change management.
  • FINRA Series 7 (for roles supporting mutual funds).

The salary for this position generally ranges between $170000 - $200000 annually. This range is an estimate based on potential qualifications and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts as permitted by applicable law.


Additionally the position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Companys discretion.
