Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Head Golf Course Mechanic for the beautiful Barton Creek Country Club!If you love hospitality creating amazing customer experiences and the structure and benefits that come from working with a hotel company then you will love working with Omni!We are proud to announcewe ranked among the best resorts in Texas: Top 10 Resorts in the Southwest Conde Nast Traveler and Top 5 Resorts in Texas Travel Leisure Worlds Best Awards 2024The Head Golf Course Mechanic will ensure the proper maintenance and repair of golf and grounds maintenance and perform all routine maintenance diagnostics and repairs on a diverse fleet of gasoline- and diesel-powered golf course equipment including mowers tractors utility vehicles and golf implement and manage a comprehensive preventative maintenance program to ensure equipment longevity and peak diagnose and resolve mechanical electrical and hydraulic issues across all golf course maintenance detailed service and maintenance records using computerized systems for inventory tracking compliance and all equipment is cleaned fueled lubricated and fully operational for daily use by the turf maintenance reel grinding and blade sharpening as required to maintain top-quality turf mowing and set up equipment to meet operational needs and course welding and light fabrication techniques for equipment repairs and customizations as proper recycling storage and disposal of hazardous materials in adherence to safety and environmental staff on equipment operation preventative care and safety protocols to promote a culture of accountability and best effectively with the superintendent and crew participating in all required trainings and department 5 years of experience as a Golf Course MechanicStrong communication and organizational skillsDeep knowledge of:Gasoline and diesel enginesHydraulic systemsReel grinding and equipment sharpeningAbility to analyze and solve equipment-related problems efficientlyProven record in preventative maintenance program managementFamiliarity with golf car maintenance and utility vehiclesComputer skills for inventory recordkeeping and order systemsAbility to train staff on equipment use and safetyWorking understanding of the game of golf and its effect on equipment schedulingAbility to work in diverse weather conditions while performing equipment possess a valid drivers license and maintain a clean driving to move lift carry push or pull items of moderate to heavy weight without Environment:Outdoor work in varying weather to golfers and active play to potentially hazardous machinery and and EquipmenHand tools and trimming toolsTransportation vehiclesChainsaws and pole sawsMowing equipmentTractors and backhoesSpot sprayers fertilizer spreaders and mixing equipmentOmni Hotels & Resorts is an equal opportunity employer.
