Job Summary

Head Coach of Cheerleading
Coe College seeks enthusiastic candidates for the position of Head Coach of Cheerleading. This part-time position is responsible for planning organizing and supervising a varsity cheerleading program within the spirit policies and rules of Coe College. The head coach is responsible for all aspects of coaching the team including recruiting annual budget oversight practice competition and travel. The head coach is responsible for designing and administering programs policies and services that will contribute to the education and welfare of its student-athletes.
Work Schedule:part-time 10 months (August - May)
Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Plan and supervise practices and competitions.
  • Thorough knowledge of the principles practices and safety associated with directing a varsity college cheer team.
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of the techniques fundamentals and best practices associated with coaching a varsity college cheer team.
  • Recruit prospective student-athletes that have inquired about attending Coe College and participating in the varsity cheer team.
  • Manage assigned budgets.
  • Secure and maintain equipment and uniforms.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Previous high school or college cheerleading team coaching/directing experience preferred.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States as we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
  • Successful completion of a driver and criminal background check in accordance with Coe College policy.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
  • Weekend and Evening hours required
  • Travel required
  • Occasional lift push pull up to 50 lbs
  • Frequent twist bend stoop and climb
