We are an in-office company and our expectation is that full-time employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. However we also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments. This in-office expectation does not apply to contractor positions

About the role

We are looking for bright Hardware Integration Engineers interested in designing and building next-generation compute and sensor hardware for autonomous and AI-driven vehicles. Our hardware engineers work across the full hardware lifecycle from schematic design and PCB layout to bring-up validation and production support collaborating closely with software firmware and mechanical teams to ship reliable systems into production vehicle programs.

At Applied Intuition you will:

  • Design and review schematics and PCB layouts for compute sensor and interface hardware

  • Support hardware bring-up and debug including board-level and component-level troubleshooting

  • Develop and execute test plans to validate hardware functionality performance and reliability

  • Collaborate with firmware and software engineers to integrate hardware with embedded systems and validate end-to-end functionality

  • Work with vendors and contract manufacturers to support prototyping DFM/DFT reviews and production ramp

  • Contribute to hardware documentation including schematics BOMs and test reports

Were looking for someone who has:

  • BS/BA MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or a related degree

  • Strong fundamentals in circuit design digital/analog electronics and PCB layout graduating by December 2026

  • Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes multimeters logic analyzers) for hardware debug and validation

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics datasheets and hardware specifications

Nice to have:

  • Experience with high-speed digital design power electronics or RF/sensor interfaces

  • Familiarity with communication protocols relevant to vehicle systems (e.g. CAN LIN Ethernet SPI I2C)

  • Exposure to compliance/EMC testing or DFM/DFT processes

  • Prior internship or project experience with automotive robotics or embedded hardware
