Position Summary:

The Group Sales Manageris responsible foreffectivelysolicitingand becoming familiar with all accounts in his/her market segments. He/she is also responsible for prospecting and closing on assigned accounts/market segments to positivelyimpacthotel revenues. The Sales Manager will work inconjunction with the Director of Sales and Marketing to achieve the hotels revenue and market share goals for the hotel. Develop group strategies that drive performance in assigned markets. Responsible for developingnew salesas well as for pursuing the rebooking of past events. Collaborate with the Director of Sales and Marketing and the Strategy Team to achieve the correct balance of group businesstaking into accounttransient demand (plan values)to maximize hotel revenue.Have the ability toperformmultiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
This position offers a base salary plus eligibility to participate in the Statlers Sales Incentive Plan. Participation and payout are not guaranteed and are subject to plan terms and eligibility criteria.

Required Qualifications:
B.S. degree in Hotel Administration or equivalent experience.A minimumforthreetofouryears of hospitality corporateconferenceor convention sales experience is. Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Provenorganizationalinterpersonaland communication (oral and written) skills.
Effective sales and negotiating skills. Knowledge of sales softwarespreadsheetand database applications on PCs.
Must be proficient with Windows operating systems
Experience in prospecting foraccounts old and new and the ability tonegotiate andclosebusiness.
Ability to respond back to clientsona timelybasis.
Mustbe able to convey information and ideas clearly.
Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
Must work well in stressful high-pressure situations.
Mustmaintaincomposure and objectivity under pressure.
Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventingidentifyingand solvingproblemsas necessary.
Must have the ability to assimilate complex information data etc. from disparate sources and consideradjustormodifyto meet the constraints of theparticular need.

Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Delphi is a plus
