Group Respite Nurse Weekend (PRN)

The role of aGroup Respite Nurse - Weekends (PRN)is to provide nursing cares to a small group of children during your shift in collaboration with direct care professionals. Group services supports children with varying needs and abilities over the weekend. ChildServesRespite service allows parents to attend events for their other children schedule appointments for themselves or take time to recharge.

When Youll Work

• Friday: 5:00pm - 11:00pm
• Saturday: 7:00pm - 11:00pm
• Sunday: 7:00am - 6:00pm
• Two weekends per month

How Youll Make an Impact

• Provide nursing support rehabilitative needs and preventative care in a ratio of 1:3 at the ChildServeCenter.
• Interact with the child and participate in fun activities.
• Complete electronic documentation and MARS.
• Possible skills used:medication administration g-tube nutrition seizure management urinary cath respiratory support etc.

What Youll Need

• Current valid RN/LPN license in Iowa.
• Valid drivers license with two or fewer violations in the past three years.
• Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 90 days and before working independently.
• Experience working with children with special health care needs preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in reading writing and speaking the English language.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs be mobile within the assigned work area and frequently bend lift reach and stand.
