Group Overview

Aerospace Engineering Group (AERO) provides an integrated end-to-end capability for the rapid modification and fielding of mission-specific aircraft. The Airborne Asset Adaptation (A3) Cell acts as the central command and coordination hub managing requirements and external interfaces from inception to operational delivery. Specialized technical execution is delivered by the Aircraft Integration Centre (AIC) a Part 145 facility focused on airframe modification and Aerospace Design (ASD) which provides organic design engineering and FAA-authorized certification. Collectively these elements bridge the gap between initial requirements and the deployment of flight-certified mission-ready assets.

Position Summary

The Ground Support Equipment and Facilities Technician role is responsible forperforming inspections preventive maintenance troubleshooting repairs overhauls and modifications on a wide variety of Ground Support Equipment (GSE)utilizedin support ofaircraftmaintenance and flight operations. This position also performsmaintenance ofhangarfacilities shop equipment and building systems to ensure a safe efficient and operational work environment.

What Youll Do
  • Perform and track scheduled preventive maintenance inspections on all Ground Support Equipment (GSE)
  • Diagnose troubleshoot repair overhaul and modify gasoline diesel hydraulic pneumatic mechanical and electrical systems
  • Perform major and minor repairs on GSE fleet vehicles and powered industrial equipment
  • Inspect maintain troubleshoot repair or replace aircraft tugs tow tractors forklifts scissor lifts boom lifts Ground Power Units (GPU) hydraulic test stands air start units nitrogen/oxygen servicing carts air compressors generators pressure washers shop equipment and company vehicles/trailers
  • Operate and functionally test equipment following maintenance
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on shop equipment including hydraulic presses air compressors battery chargers parts washers welding equipment shop hoists and specialty equipment
  • Order receive inventory and stock replacement parts and shop supplies
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
What You Bring

Required

  • Minimum 5 years of aviation ground support equipment maintenance experience
  • Strong understanding of gasoline diesel hydraulic pneumatic mechanical and electrical systems
  • Experience using diagnostic equipment and specialized testing tools
  • Demonstrated experience with standard enterprise IT utilities

Preferred

  • Previous experience working in an FAA Part 145 Repair Station
  • ASE Certification or equivalent mechanical certification
  • Experience with MIG TIG or Stick welding and basic metal fabrication

This is a full-time non-exempt position with typical working hours from Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may changein accordance withdepartment and business needs. Non-Exempt employees may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager.

WorkEnvironment

This joboperatesin a hangar or flight line environment with exposure to varying weather conditions loud noise and aircraft systems. The role may require standing bending climbing and lifting up to 50 pounds. All employees must adhere to strict safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
