Grinder Production A 1st Shift (DSC)

Job Description:

Sets up and operates internal centerless surface external thread and universal grinders for production experimental and tool work.

Must be able and is required to perform any type of difficult grinding work on any and all types grinders.

Grinds steps tapers recesses shoulders angles contours and threads.

Must be able to set up truing devices on thread grinding for various types and forms of threads. Selects proper speeds feeds and wheels.

Holds work to required tolerances. Setups are exacting usually requiring firm and accurately set fixtures rests or blocks.

Tools & Equipment Used:

All types of grinders machinists hand tools precision measuring instruments.

Experience & Other Requirements:

Three years of production grinding experience including setup.
