Job Summary:

As a Grapple Truck Operator youll play an important role in supporting railroad maintenance and operations by safely operating specialized equipment inspecting trailers and ensuring equipment is maintained and ready for service. This hands-on position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors operating heavy equipment and contributing to the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the rail network.

  • Inspect trailers and components for compliance with DOT and company standards
  • Perform scheduled and on-demand maintenance activity
  • Perform a physical yard check to ensure all trailers in yard are listed and trailer numbers are correct
  • Complete reports inspection forms and required documentation
  • Manage other projects and perform other duties as assigned
