Client: Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC)

Position Summary:

The Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) is seeking an experienced Grants Management Consultant to lead a comprehensive assessment of its grants management environment. The consultant will evaluate the complete grants lifecycle perform regulatory gap and risk assessments analyze governance and internal controls and develop recommendations for a future-state operating model that strengthens compliance efficiency and accountability.

This engagement supports ANTHCs portfolio of federal state Tribal foundation and other grant-funded programs by improving collaboration across Grants Planning Grants Management and Grants Accounting teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct an end-to-end assessment of the grants management lifecycle from pre-award through closeout.
  • Analyze current business processes workflows governance structure and organizational roles.
  • Perform regulatory compliance reviews against federal state Tribal and funding agency requirements.
  • Identify operational gaps control weaknesses and process inefficiencies.
  • Develop a comprehensive risk assessment and maintain a detailed risk register.
  • Evaluate grants management systems technology platforms and data governance practices.
  • Review policies procedures SOPs and internal control documentation.
  • Facilitate stakeholder interviews workshops and cross-functional discovery sessions.
  • Create process maps RACI matrices and documentation of current-state operations.
  • Deliver executive-level reports with actionable recommendations and future-state design strategies.
  • Present findings to executive leadership and support draft review and finalization.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Public Administration Finance Accounting Healthcare Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in grants management compliance consulting risk management or organizational assessment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing federal grant regulations (Uniform Guidance 2 CFR Part 200 preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of governance frameworks internal controls and enterprise risk assessment.
  • Experience conducting organizational and operational maturity assessments.
  • Excellent analytical documentation presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree or relevant professional certification (PMP CPA CGFM CRMA or equivalent).
  • Experience working with healthcare organizations Tribal entities or nonprofit organizations.
  • Familiarity with grant accounting procurement compliance and audit environments.
  • Expertise in business process mapping and change management methodologies.
