Job Summary:

The Grants Coordinator (GC) Trainer position is a vital role in Grants Management as it performs the duties of a Grants Coordinator serving a partial delegation of LEAs while also being tasked with designing and delivering timely trainings on relevant topics related to the fiscal processing of all grants in the Grants Management Enterprise (GME) system.
This position facilitates critical process trainings with internal program areas as well as external trainings for relevant business staff at schools and charters.
Occasional in-state and rare out-of-state travel is required for this position.

The Arizona Department of Education currently utilizes a hybrid work environment with up to two days of remote work (contingent upon business needs). Candidates should apply with an ability and willingness to work in-office up to five days per week as business needs necessitate.

Job Duties:

Develops and conducts interactive technical training for internal and external customers using adult education and training principles and techniques
Prepares curriculum designs participant manuals and materials process and procedure documents
Collects appropriate resources and equipment to conduct and facilitate training sessions
Provides technical support to internal and external customers for the Grants Management Enterprise (GME) system and other relevant systems
Evaluates training needs based on customer feedback personal observation and training data and adjust to these as needed
Tracks and reports data pertaining to sessions
Schedules markets and coordinate training classes workshops conferences or webinars for internal and external audiences
Works with other departments and external venders in a collaborative manner including consulting training needs and topics

Knowledge Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge in:
Adult education principles and techniques for on-the-job and classroom training
Developing training courses and materials based on policy and procedures specializing in technical training
Training and webinar applications and tools
Various types of equipment and materials used in conducting training
Backwards planning for objective mastery
Alignment of content and delivery to learning objectives
A Bachelors degree in Business Education Communications or a related field or equivalent experience to substitute for the degree is required

Skills in:
Problem solving through data review brainstorming and root cause analysis
Maintaining the internal training Share Point site and external training web page
Use of webinar software to facilitate virtual trainings such as Teams or Zoom;
Demonstrated experience in creating and facilitating in-person and virtual training
Attention to detail
Initiative
Good judgment
Resourcefulness
Strong interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with colleagues at various levels of the organization
Intermediate working knowledge and experience with MS Word PowerPoint Teams and Excel (Functions etc.)
Ability to:
Identify gaps and adapt training needs within the organization to develop reference guides
Gather information to use in developing training courses and materials based on policy and procedures grant specific information and guidance
Provide great customer service and technical support to all customers through email and phone
Work within a team collaborate and communicate effectively
Organize and manage multiple priorities and projects coupled with the flexibility to quickly adapt to ever-changing business needs
Create basic spreadsheets and graphs
Conduct classroom setting trainings workshops and virtual trainings
Prioritize workload and provide support to the supervisor based on business needs

Selective Preference(s):

Preference will be given to those applicants with progressive experience developing and facilitating training programs for both internal and external customers including training materials and actual trainings
