Job Summary
Position Purpose
The 12-month Nurse Residency Program at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford CT supports newly graduated RNs or RNs with less than one year of experience as they transition from entrylevel practice to professional competence. The program provides structured education clinical support and guided experience to build confidence and core nursing skills.

Develop clinical judgment and decisionmaking
Deliver safe evidencebased peoplecentered care
Build leadership skills at the bedside
Apply research and best practices in daily care
Learn through collaboration with educators preceptors and peers.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduated or projected to graduate from an accredited nursing program
Less than 12 months of RN experience
Valid Connecticut RN license required before orientation. *RN license number must be provided on the Monday before orientation
