Location: Hybrid position based in Washington DC offering the opportunity to collaborate closely with our team while maintaining flexibility. Exceptional candidates outside the immediate area may also be considered.

Note: Candidates must have 3 years of government contracts experience significant bid protest experience and be admitted to the DC Bar or eligible for prompt admission. A writing sample (5 pages or fewer) and law school transcript are required with submission.

Job Description

• Represent government contractors in bid protests before the GAO Court of Federal Claims and other forums.
• Advise clients on federal procurement laws regulations and compliance matters.
• Handle requests for equitable adjustment Contract Disputes Act claims and contract performance issues.
• Draft and negotiate teaming agreements subcontract agreements and related government contracts documents.
• Counsel clients on FAR compliance procurement regulations and risk management strategies.
• Assist with investigations involving procurement matters and the False Claims Act.
• Advise clients on federal small business programs including 8(a) SDVOSB WOSB and HUBZone issues.
• Collaborate with attorneys across the firm to provide strategic legal solutions for government contractors.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active DC Bar admission or eligibility for prompt DC admission.
• 3 years of government contracts law experience.
• Demonstrated experience handling bid protests for government contractors.
• Strong legal research writing advocacy and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and client relationship abilities.
• Experience with CDA claims FAR compliance teaming agreements or procurement investigations preferred.
• Experience advising on federal small business programs is a plus.

• 3 to 5 years: $238000 to $248000
• 6 to 8 years: $248000 to $262000
