As an associate ofâTroon youll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.ââThe Golf Course Equipment Operator is a key member of the course maintenance team and is responsible for the care and maintenance of golf course.

Qualifications Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• Golf course maintenance experience preferred but not required
• Must possess the ability design coordinate and maintain landscaping on the golf course
• Working knowledge of the tools methods and materials used in grounds and landscaped area construction and maintenance work
• Must possess the ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course operations
• Ability to give oral and written instructions
• Skilled in seeding fertilizing mulching and general ground preparation for restoration and renovation
• Must be dependable

Responsibilities:

• Operates motorized vehicles
• Maintains clean and organized works areas on the golf course and maintenance facility
• Mows greens aprons fairways roughs tees and other areas
• Waters tees greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water
• Repairs the irrigation system pipes and irrigation heads as needed
• Grades and prepares soil base lays sod and seeds greens tees and fairways
• Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds
• Applies pesticides herbicides and fertilizers to the golf course
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
